All sponsored posts or ads will be fully disclosed - which means you'll always know if someone gave me money or something else to mention their name.
I try to make sure that the adverts reflect my values or are businesses I would patronize because I value the trust of my readership very much.
To keep advertising and promotions to a minimum, I created a sister site called The River Into Words Reviews, posting reviews of books, e-books, or articles that are sent my way. Most often, the only compensation given to me is a free book sent my way, but occasionally I place affiliate links or post affiliate reviews for small monetary compensation.
I will still post reviews of books, music or movies on this site that I myself purchase, pick up from the library, or that my mom forces me to read. Culture and the arts are my passion, so reviews (without compensation) will always be present here.
I am also an Amazon affiliate, so I think that means that if you click on the links and buy one of the books I recommend, I may get a nickel. I think. Not really sure how that works, actually, but I think it's a good way to link easily to books that changed me, moved me, or helped me in any way.
If you have any questions, would like me to review your work, or would like to advertise on this site or its sister site, please email me at jackandellasmum (at) gmail (dot) com. I really do love to read and promote the arts and passions that speak to me.
